Patna, Feb. 9 -- The Bihar budget for the financial year 2026-27 has fixed a target to place the state among the country's developed states in the next five years.
The target has been fixed in tune with "Saat Nischay-3" (Seven Resolves-3) envisaged by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and focuses on inclusive growth for providing one crore jobs and employments within 2030.
Finance Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, while replying to the general debate on the budget, said its thrust was on placing Bihar among the developed states in the next five years.
A total of 50 lakhs jobs and employment had been provided between 2020 and 2025, he said.
