Patna, Feb. 28 -- Bihar has recorded a 3.5-time increase in investment during the last two and a half years after the state government rolled out a new Investment Promotion Policy, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said on Friday.
Chaudhary, also the Finance Minister, disclosed this while presenting the economic survey of Bihar for the year 2024-25. According to the report, investment increased by 3.5 times in the industrial sector between the financial year 2022-23 and September 2024-25.
Similarly, micro-entrepreneurships attracted investment of more than six times in 2023-24 over the previous year, 2022-23. In 2023-24, entrepreneurs created 66 percent employment opportunities while it increased 2.6 times from 2022-23 to 2023-24.
