Patna, March 4 -- Bihar government has accelerated its efforts to tap energy from unconventional sources like Battery Energy Storage System to accomplish Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's vision to provide electricity to consumers of the state at a cheaper rate;

Bihar Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav met Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here on Tuesday and handed him a letter, urging him to extend support to the state so that it can install a 2000 MWh battery energy storage system. Bihar will get immense help in meeting growing power demand particularly during the peak hour with the commissioning of these projects.
