Patna, Dec. 31 -- The Bihar government has initiated the 'Chief Minister Guru Shishya Tradition' scheme to preserve endangered and vanishing art forms, and to ensure their transmission to the next generation.
Art and Culture Department Secretary Pranav Kumar told news persons here on Wednesday that the Art and Culture Department is continuously working to safeguard and promote Bihar's rich cultural heritage.
Outlining the department's achievements and future action plans, he said that along with the existing Chief Minister Artist Pension Scheme, the new initiative will focus on protecting traditional folk arts, music, dance and instrumental performance that are at risk of disappearing.
