Patna, Feb. 10 -- Road Construction Minister Dilip Jaiswal today said the state government has decided to construct expressways from its own resources in Bihar and a team of experts has been given responsibility to study technical and other aspects of expressway construction works in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh for the purpose.

Jaiswal, while replying to a debate on budgetary demand of the Road Construction Department in the Assembly for the financial year 2026-27, said that the Centre was engaged in construction of expressways in Bihar which included the Varanasi- Ranchi-Kolkata expressway with an estimated cost of Rs 10,862.63 Crores.
