Patna, May 8 -- : Bihar Art and Culture Minister Pramod Kumar today said the state government would take necessary steps to curb vulgar and obscene songs in Bihar, asserting that such content negatively affects social values and attitudes.

Kumar made the remarks after assuming charge as Bihar's Art and Culture Minister.

Speaking on vulgar songs, the minister said obscene lyrics adversely impact social behaviour and mindset. He said restrictions on such songs would help increase sensitivity towards women in society and make women feel safer.
