Patna, Aug. 16 -- With an aim to promote non-conventional energy especially solar energy usage in Bihar, the state government has decided to install "rooftop solar panels" free of cost at the places of 58.89 lakh Kutir Jyoti (KJ) (BPL) consumers of the state.
Official sources said here today that apart from Kutir Jyoti consumers, the government would also give assistance to all the domestic power consumers willing to install rooftop panels.
After deducting the number of KJ consumers from the total 1.89 crore domestic consumers of the state, there are currently 1.30 crore consumers in the state who will be getting assistance too, for installing rooftop panels from the state government's scheme. The move would make consumers
