Patna, June 24 -- Bihar Government on Tuesday approved a proposal to increase social security pension to Rs 1100 per month under various categories, which is being considered as an attempt to woo voters in next Bihar assembly elections slated for October-November this year.
Additional Chief Secretary of Cabinet Coordination Department Dr S Siddharth told media persons here that a decision to this effect was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
As per decision taken in cabinet, social security pension under various categories had been increased to Rs 1100 per month, he added.
