Patna, Nov. 7 -- Voters boycotted polls in at least ten booths protesting against the non-fulfilment of local demands for infrastructure like roads in phase one of the Bihar Assembly elections on Thursday.

In Darbhanga district, locals boycotted the polling at booth numbers 284, 285, 286 and 287, railing against the government's failure to construct roads in their localities in the Kusheshwarsthan assembly seat.

Similarly, in Muzaffarpur, locals did not turn up to cast their votes at two booths, venting their anger over what they called the government's failure to initiate the construction of a culvert in the Gaighat locality.
