Ranchi, March 22 -- Bihar Day was celebrated at the Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) on Sunday with cultural programmes.

The event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof Sarang Medhekar with the lighting of the lamp. Faculty members, officials and staff were present.

Addressing the gathering, the Vice Chancellor highlighted Bihar's historical and educational legacy and described it as a centre of knowledge since ancient times.

He urged students to remain connected with their cultural roots and contribute to society.

Students presented folk songs, Jhijhiya dance, poetry recitation and theatre performances reflecting Bihar's traditions.
