Patna, Sept. 5 -- Bihar Congress president Rajesh Ram today accused the BJP and Janata Dal (United) of deliberately insulting Bihar by twisting the meaning of a tweet posted from the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee's official handle.
Ram said the Congress had already removed the post and issued an apology if it had hurt public sentiment, but alleged that the BJP-JDU intentionally distorted its context to malign the Congress and link it to an insult against Bihar.
"The truth is that it was BJP-JDU which compared Bihar to a bidi. They have disrespected the people of Bihar, while Congress has stood for their self-respect," Ram said.
