Patna, April 24 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, heading the new NDA government, Friday proved his majority with a voice vote in the state assembly.

Replying to the debate on the confidence motion during a one-day special session of the Lower House, Choudhary launched a sharp attack on the opposition while strongly defending his government's policies and agenda. He said the new government would carry forward the triple "C" formula of his predecessor Nitish Kumar and would never compromise with crime, corruption, and communalism. Choudhary assured the house that his government would function on the principles and guidelines of the previous Nitish Kumar government.
