Patna, March 1 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar distributed appointment letters to 59 thousand 28 special teachers including 55 thousand 845 primary teachers, 2532 secondary teachers and 651 higher secondary teachers.
While distributing the appointment letters as a token to some of the newly appointed teachers here on Saturday, Kumar said that his government took several steps for improving the educational scenario after coming to power in the state.
He said that 3 lakh 68 thousand contractual teachers have been appointed through Panchayat and Civic bodies since 2006-07.
