Patna, April 29 -- Expressing deep grief over the killing of Krishna Bhushan Kumar, executive officer of Sultanganj Nagar Parishad, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Wednesday announced Rs 25 lakh financial aid to the kin of the slain officer.
Some armed criminals had shot dead Kumar and had seriously injured the nagar chairman Rajkumar Guddu in their office under Sultanagnj police station area in Bhagalpur district on Tuesday.
In his condolence message, Choudhary said the mortal remains of the slain officer would be consigned to flames under full state honour as a mark of respect for his service and sacrifice.
Describing the incident as "extremely tragic" and a great loss to public service.
