Patna, April 26 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary Sunday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each for the next of kin of six members of a family from Gaya district who were killed in a road accident in Jharkhand.

Expressing deep sorrow over the incident that occurred in the Danuwa Valley area of Chauparan in Hazaribagh, the Chief Minister directed that the compensation be provided from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

Choudhary termed the incident as extremely tragic and prayed for strength to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss.
