Patna, Nov. 15 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) suspended its senior leader and former union minister RK Singh from the party on charges of engaging in anti-party activities during the elections.

He has also been issued a show-cause notice asking why he should not be expelled from the party. Similar action has been taken against party rebels, MLC Ashok Agarwal and the Mayor of Katihar Usha Agarwal.

They had campaigned for their son Saurav Kumar Agarwal, who was contesting the Katihar assembly seat on a ticket of Vikassheel Insan Party against sitting BJP MLA and former Deputy CM Tarkishor Prasad.
