Patna, Jan. 12 -- Bihar Agriculture Minister Ramkripal Yadav today said that the patent granted for saffron technology is a strong proof of the scientific capability, continuous research efforts and commitment to innovation of Bihar Agricultural University (BAU), Sabour.
Congratulating the Vice-Chancellor, scientists, researchers and technical staff of the university, the minister said that BAU, Sabour has achieved a historic milestone in the field of agricultural biotechnology. He said that an innovation developed by the university's scientists, titled "A Growth Media Composition for Rapid In-vitro Direct Organogenesis of Saffron", has been granted a patent by the Government of India's Patent Office on January 9,this year.
