Patna, Dec. 12 -- VIP president Mukesh Sahni on Friday threatened to launch agitation if the Nitish Kumar government failed to fulfill its promise of providing Rs two lakhs each to 'Jeevika Didis' in next three months for launching their own ventures to earn livelihood.
Sahni, whose party VIP had failed to open its account in the recently held Bihar assembly elections, told media that the Nitish government had promised during elections to provide Rs 2 lakh each to Jeevika Didis within three months after paying Rs 10,000 each to them in October and the first week of November this year.
"Our party will wait for three months and launch agitation if Jeevika Didis are not paid the additional amount of Rs 2 lakhs till then," he warned.
