Bengaluru, Dec. 23 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday announced that the 17th Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFES) will be held from January 29 to February 6, 2026, with a special focus on women's empowerment.
Addressing the media after a preparatory meeting for the festival, the Chief Minister said senior actor, director and producer Prakash Raj has been appointed as the Brand Ambassador of the 17th edition of the international film festival.
He said the inauguration of the festival will be held on the grand steps in front of Vidhana Soudha. Film screenings will take place across 11 screens at Cinepolis in Lulu Mall, Rajajinagar, and at additional venues including Rajkumar Bhavan, Kalavidara Sangha in Chamaraja...
