New Delhi, May 24 -- The World Health Organisation's executive body has appointed Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan as the Chairperson of the Committee B at the 75th World Health Assembly, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.
The appointment was done at the annual meeting taking place at Geneva.
The World Health Assembly (WHA) is the decision-making body of the WHO and is attended by delegations from all member states and focuses on a specific health agenda prepared by the Executive Board.
It is held annually in Geneva. According to the WHO, the assembly functions through two committees: A and B.
