Nagpur, Sept. 18 -- Maharashtra Minister and OBC leader Chhagan Bhujbal on Thursday urged the state government to either amend or withdraw the recently issued Government Resolution (GR) granting Kunbi certificates to the Maratha community under the Hyderabad gazette.

Addressing a gathering of the "Samata Parishad" in Nagpur, Bhujbal reiterated that the GR was flawed.

"Our demand is clear, either withdraw this GR or make the necessary corrections," he asserted.

Reacting to the Bombay High Court's rejection of public interest petitions filed against the GR, Bhujbal said writ petitions had already been filed on behalf of the Kunbi Sena, the Nabik community, the Mali Mahasangh and officers of the Samata Parishad.
