Bhopal, June 10 -- The Bhopal railway division of West Central Railway (WCR) earned a revenue of over Rs 4.60 crore from ticket checking drives in May.
Bhopal Railway Division spokesperson said that during May, irregularities were found in 64,710 cases, resulting in revenue earnings of Rs 4,60,07,920.
Out of these, 35,075 passengers were found travelling without tickets, and Rs 2,97,08,585 were recovered from them. Additionally, 30,483 passengers were found travelling on improper tickets, and Rs 1,62,55,385 was recovered from them.
As many as 152 cases of passengers carrying unbooked luggage were detected, and Rs 43,950 was recovered from them.
