Dhar (MP), Jan. 22 -- On a day when the Supreme Court allowed Hindus and Muslims to offer prayers at disputed Bhoj Shala complex in the town with five-day Basant Panchami festival beginning Friday, the local authorities rushed in to put in place fool-proof security of the compound and surrounding areas.
Security officers said eight companies of CRPF (about 1,000 personnel), 7,000 policemen and 500 women officials have been deployed to maintain law and order. Besides, a bomb detection and disposal squad is on standby at Bhoj Shala complex.
The Supreme Court on Thursday issued detailed directions to ensure the peaceful conduct of Basant Panchami and Friday Juma Namaz at the disputed Bhoj Shala, Kamal Maula complex.
