Bhopal, Sept. 26 -- Taking a major step in favour of peasants, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that the Bhavantar Yojana will be implemented for soybean.
"Ryots' welfare is the state dispensation's highest priority. The Centre has determined Rs 5,328 as Minimum Support Price (MSP) for soybean. If soya sells at less than the MSP then the government will compensate the tillers' loss through Bhavantar. Excessive precipitation and floods have caused crop damage. Cultivators have been provided relief amounts. Yellow mosaic has also affected crops. A survey is being undertaken and relief will be doled out," Yadav was quoted as stating late last night.
