Bhagalpur, Dec. 9 -- Some armed criminals murdered the district president of the Mahadalit wing of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) Laxmikant Manjhi (60) whose body was recovered near Mushari Ghat under Barari police station here this morning.
Police sources said here that after receiving information from local residents, the police recovered the body.
It is suspected that the criminals killed him somewhere else and then dumped the body at this spot. Manjhi was a resident of Sadpur village in the Shahkund area and had been the district president of HAM's Mahadalit wing for a long time.
