Lucknow, Aug. 30 -- Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad today suggested changing the name of Indian Road Congress (IRC) as the name sounds a bit awkward, therefore it would be better if it is renamed as Bharatiya Sadak Sangh.
Addressing the 'Full Depth Reclamation and Green Technology Seminar' organised by the IRC and UP Rural Road Development Agency at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, the Deputy CM said that upgradation of rural roads is the foundation stone of nation building. "UP has played a leading role in PMGSY. FDR technology is proving to be a boon in the construction of rural roads. Uttar Pradesh is the leading state to adopt FDR technology in PMGSY roads," he said.
