Bhubaneswar, Dec. 17 -- Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday announced that the city limits of Berhampur, the lifeline of south Odisha, will be expanded and developed as Greater Berhampur City.
He directed the district administration to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the expansion, emphasizing that the development of Berhampur and Ganjam district is crucial for the overall progress of Odisha.
The Chief Minister made the announcement while addressing the 42nd Annual Function of Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir at Neelakantha Nagar in Berhampur.
