Bengaluru, Oct. 11 -- Bengaluru Police have busted a gang of five persons who kidnapped a 19-year-old female Chartered Accountancy (CA) student from her residence in this city, officials said here.
The abduction took place at the Simhadri Layout near Chikkallasandra, within the limits of the Subramanyapura police station.
The girl has been rescued unharmed, the officials said.
They said the abduction was orchestrated by Ranganath, a bike mechanic with a prior criminal record, who allegedly planned the kidnapping to force the victim into marriage.
He was reportedly known to the girl and had previously been jailed in a murder case. The accused had also created disturbances outside the victim's residence twice in the past month, pressuring...
