Kolkata, May 30 -- A viral telephonic conversation, in which a man claiming to be West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mondal is heard hurling filthy abuse at a police officer, has caused embarrassment to the party.

The Trinamool Congress has asked Mondal to tender an unconditional apology within the next four hours, else the party will take action against him.

The audio recording of the purported conversation, posted by BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar, has not been independently verified by UNI.
