Siliguri, March 24 -- BJP candidate for the Siliguri Assembly constituency, Sankar Ghosh, on Tuesday suspended all public campaigning and began an indefinite sit-in demonstration demanding the immediate arrest of Amir Ali, an accused in connection with the unnatural death of a 16-year-old schoolgirl in the city.
The girl was found hanging at her residence in Durga Nagar, Gurung Busty, under the Siliguri Municipal Corporation area on Monday. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated an investigation.
