Kolkata, Dec. 21 -- : Bengal Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Agarwal convened a high-level coordination meeting with representatives of central government agencies and nationalised banks to finalise the deployment of micro-observers for the hearing phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in West Bengal.
Senior officials from the state CEO's office were present during the discussions.
According to officials, all 16 participating agencies and banks have expressed their willingness to depute officers for the exercise.
The agencies are expected to submit the names of the nominated officials by Sunday, following which appointment letters will be issued on Monday.
