Kolkata, Oct. 10 -- West Bengal Fire Department Minister Sujit Bose sharply criticized the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today as the agency, accompanied by Central security forces, conducted fresh search operations at his properties.
The searches, which began early this morning, come 20 months after the ED raided his Lake Town residence on January 12, 2024, in connection with alleged irregularities in appointments at Dum Dum Municipality in 2023, when Bose was the civic body chairman.
Two separate ED teams targeted Bose's Salt Lake office in eastern Kolkata and his restaurant on VIP Road, under the Lake Town police station jurisdiction in North 24 Parganas.
