Kolkata, July 1 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today announced that the state initiative to provide medical consultation by phone has achieved a new milestone of crossing six crore beneficiaries since the 'SwasthyaIngit' was introduced in 2021.

The unique telemedicine initiative of the state health department has achieved yet another milestone by providing six crore tele consultations since its start in August 2021, the chief minister said while sharing the information to mark the National Doctors Day, which is being celebrated across the country.
