Kolkata, Sept. 12 -- West Bengal police seized over Rs 72 lakh during the frisking of a Kolkata-bound bus from Bihar and arrested four suspects for carrying unaccounted cash, official sources said today.
Police had to procure a money-counting machine from a bank after the cash was seized at the Palsit toll plaza on National Highway 2 between Panagarh and Palsit in East Bardhaman district.
According to sources, acting on a tip-off, police laid a trap around midnight. During the search of the bus, two bags filled with cash were recovered.
