Siliguri, Oct. 7 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today visited injured BJP MP Khagen Murmu in a private hospital, who sustained wounds on his face after being attacked by a large violent mob at Nagrakata in Jalpaiguri district yesterday.
Banerjee interacted with the medical team treating Murmu and assured the BJP leader of all necessary support from the state government.
"I have received all the inputs. He has high blood sugar. It needs to be controlled. I also wished him well and a speedy recovery," Ms Banerjee told reporters after coming out of the hospital.
