Kolkata, Oct. 25 -- Unhappy over the recent alleged rape of a minor girl and assault on a woman junior doctor in state-owned hospitals, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today directed officials to ensure total security and screening of entry in all the medical establishments across the state.
In a review meeting at Nabanna after a series of unwarranted incidents in the hospitals, Banerjee, who presided over it virtually, said each and every appointment of hospital employees needs a thorough police verification and specific uniforms for all in-indoor, outdoor and in-emergency employees to identify their nature of jobs.
