Kolkata, Oct. 21 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today paid her glowing tribute to mark the anniversary of Azad Hind government founded by patriot Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on this day in 1943.
She also paid tributes to the brave soldiers of the Indian National Army who fought valiantly for India's freedom under the leadership of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
On this day Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose announced the formation of the Provisional Government of Azad Hind in Singapore in 1943. He served as its head of State.The government had its own currency, court, and civil code.
