Siliguri, May 21 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday directed senior police officials and all ranks in the border districts to further heighten vigilance to deter attempts to sneak in by any terrorist and any anti-national element.
Presiding over a meeting at Uttarkanya, the Chief Minister stressed the need for increasing patrolling of the forces, given the recent incident at Pahalgam, and urged the common people to be alert against any unwanted elements who may disrupt the peace.
