Kolkata, June 5 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to visit New Delhi on Monday (June 9) and may call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during her stay in the national capital, TMC sources said on Thursday.

The Chief Minister's office here, in a message to the PMO (Prime Minister Office) sought an appointment with the Prime Minister for a meeting. The CMO has sought an appointment with the Prime Minister, preferably on June 10, a day after Banerjee is expected to reach New Delhi. The sources said the CM would apprise the Prime Minister regarding the dues to the state under various centrally planned projects like Awas Yojana, 100 days jobs, and other schemes for poverty alleviation.
