Kolkata, May 6 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is on an official visit to trouble-hit Murshidabad district, on Tuesday announced creation of a new subdivision comprising Farakka, Dhuliyan and Suti, to ensure a more efficient and responsive administration.

Banerjee said whilst Farakka, Dhuliyan and Suti come under Malda constituency during the Lok Sabha poll and and the same areas come under Murshidabad during the assembly election, we will have a new subdivision to ease the administrative workload.

The main office would be located in the middle of the three locations and this will happen within the next one and half-months.
