Kolkata, May 15 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday expressed her deep sadness at the passing away of Trinamool Congress MLA Tapas Saha.
Saha died in a city hospital on Thursday morning after suffering a brain haemorrhage, party sources said. He was 66.
Saha was representing the Tehatta assembly constituency in Nadia district.
He was admitted to a private hospital off the EM Bypass on Tuesday after he collapsed.
TMC supremo Banerjee, while condoling the death of party MLA Tapas Saha, said it was a huge loss, as Saha was a very important party functionary.
She also conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
