Kolkata, Feb. 17 -- Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari and three other BJP legislators were on Monday suspended from the West Bengal Assembly for a month after they allegedly tore off the business papers of the House and flung them towards Speaker Biman Banerjee.
The House witnessed a ruckus after BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul brought an adjournment motion for discussing the alleged attack on a Saraswati Puja pandal earlier this month.
The BJP MLAs also demanded the presence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who holds the Home Department portfolio.
