Kolkata, Feb. 20 -- The School Service Commission of West Bengal has barred candidates from wearing shoes inside examination centres, directing them to appear for the upcoming Group-C and Group-D recruitment tests only in ordinary slippers or hawai chappals, irrespective of gender.
The examinations are scheduled to begin on March 1.
Candidates have already started downloading their admit cards from the official website, where the new guideline has been mentioned.
The Commission has made it clear that shoes will not be allowed at entry points and only simple slippers or hawai chappals can be worn inside the centres.
