Kolkata, Dec. 22 -- Four members of a family, including two women, died in a fire that broke out at their mud house in West Bengal's Howrah district late Sunday night, official sources said on Monday.

The incident occurred at the Dolui family's home in Saurya Singh Para village under Jaipur police station limits. The victims have been identified as Duryodhan Dolui (75), Dudhkumar Dolui (42), Archana Dolui (32), and a minor, Sampa Dolui (14).

According to sources, the fire broke out shortly after midnight when the family members were asleep after dinner. The asbestos roof of the mud house collapsed as the blaze spread, trapping them inside.
