Kolkata, March 20 -- The Opposition BJP on Thursday staged a walkout in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly to protest the alleged attack on their leader Suvendu Adhikari at Baruipur and demanded resignation of Speaker Biman Banerjee.
The BJP MLAs staged walkout after shouting slogans against the Speaker on the floor of the House as their adjournment motion to discuss the alleged attacks on Adhikari at his Baruipur (South 24 Parganas) road show was denied.
The BJP MLAs tore off papers and waved black flags at the Speaker before coming out from the House and shouted slogans outside demanding his resignation.
