Buenos Aires, July 13 -- Belgrano moved to the top of Argentina's Primera Division Clausura standings with a 3-0 away win over Huracan in their season opener.
Franco Jara and Lucas Zelarayan netted either side of halftime before Lucas Passerini completed the rout with a stoppage-time penalty yesterday.
Despite having 67 percent of the possession, Huracan rarely threatened in attack and only managed one shot on goal.
"We defended a little low at times but we had them under control and we know that at some point we were going to break them," Belgrano manager Ricardo Zielinski said.
