Moscow, Sept. 2 -- Belgium will impose a ban on imports from Israeli settlements and review its public procurement policies with Israeli companies, Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot said on Tuesday.
Earlier on Tuesday, Prevot said that Belgium would recognize the State of Palestine at the United Nations General Assembly session in September.
"Twelve firm sanctions are being implemented at the national level, including a ban on importing products from the settlements, a review of public procurement policies with Israeli companies, restrictions on consular assistance to Belgians living in illegal settlements under international law, potential judicial prosecutions, bans on overflights and transit," Prevot wrote on X.
