Minsk, July 29 -- Belarusian air defense forces on duty intercepted an unidentified drone over the capital of Minsk, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday, adding that there were no casualties.

"At about 2 a.m. [23:00 GMT on Monday] on July 29, the air defense forces on duty detected and intercepted an unidentified aerial target - a violator of the airspace use rules, identified as a UAV - in the airspace of Belarus. As a result of the impact of electronic warfare equipment on it, at 02:33 the UAV crashed... in Minsk," the ministry said in a statement, adding that there were no casualties.
