Beed (Maharashtra), Sept. 14 -- Water is being released from Manjlegaon and Jakwadi dams due to the rapidly rising water levels caused by recent heavy rains in Marathwada.
Currently, 13,913.19 cusecs of water is being released from Manjlegaon dam into the Sindhfana river basin, while an estimated 1,13,184 cusecs of water is being released from Jakwadi dam into the Godavari river.
Ongoing rains in the catchment areas are contributing to the significant increase in water levels.
Administration officials warn that further water release may be necessary from Manjlegaon dam in Beed district due to the continuous inflow.
