Hyderabad, Dec. 30 -- Calling upon Backward Class (BC) students to play a decisive role in the struggle for social justice, Dhanunjaya Naidu, Telangana State General Secretary of the BC Rights Achievement Committee, urged students to prepare for sustained agitations to secure proportionate rights.
In a press statement released on Tuesday from the Committee's state office at Himayat Nagar, Dhanunjaya Naidu questioned whether BCs, officially stated to constitute 56 per cent of the population, were receiving justice in the same proportion in legislatures, education, and employee promotions.
